RICK FRIEDMAN

Executive Vice President
President, Diverse Digital Studios

As executive vice-president, Rick Friedman guides the day-to day business affairs of Diverse Media Group, Inc. (PINK SHEETS: DVME). As president of the company’s new operating division, Diverse Digital Studios, he oversees the development and creation of the company’s new digital products and services. Rick’s addition to our leadership team follows five months of service as a consultant on behalf of his company, California Media Partners LLC (CMP), where he was a managing member and COO.

Prior to the establishment of CMP, Rick Friedman was a vice-president and founding member of the executive team at GoTV Networks, Inc, a pioneer mobile content provider. At GoTV his responsibilities involved significant and continuing interface with marketing, business development, finance, and human resources. As a key player on the company’s creative team, he played a major role in the development of the network’s multi-channel wireless strategy. In his various roles, he was executive-in charge for 1KTV News, Sports Edge, Sportstracker, NFL Mobile, Altitude, and other made-for-mobile products, working closely with talent, the production team and software developers.

Before entering the world of new media, Friedman spearheaded the rebuilding of the news department at KCOP-TV in Los Angeles. As Senior Executive Producer, he ran the day-to-day operation of a 90 person staff and led the station to numerous Emmy, Golden Mike, RTNDA, and AP awards during his tenure. He also previously served as executive producer for major market ABC, CBS and FOX owned-and-operated television stations.

His previous start-ups include founding the self-financed independent record label Megadisc (1994), with releases that received national radio airplay and national distribution, and the American Transportation Television Network (1991).

As vice-president of the Los Angeles based independent label Sunshine, he was instrumental in the artist development of the Movement, best known for their #1 dance hit, “Jump!” He began his professional broadcast career at the age of 17 as a newscaster and disc jockey at Philadelphia’s 50,000 watt jazz giant WHAT-FM.

The proud father of three children, Rick currently resides in Sherman Oaks, California.
